Interview Guide

Be on time 🕗: This is the most important.

Preparation 💪:  Do research on the company that you're meeting with.  Check out their website, Linkedin and Yelp page.

Ask questions ✋: It's important to know what the employer is looking for.  The best way to do this is by asking questions.

Firm handshake 🤝: This may seem like outdated advice, but this matters to some people so might as well do it because you have little to lose.

Eye contact 👁: This also may seem like outdated advice, but this matters to some people so might as well do it because you have little to lose.  Certain people view eye contact as the ability to trust someone.  Security is mostly about building trust.

Body language 🕺🏻: Avoid having your arms crossed (which signifies you're in disagreement with the other person) or having your hands in your pockets (which signifies that you have something to hide).

Effective communication 🗣: You have a limited window of time to tell your story.  Be sure to speak clearly and make it easy to understand what is important about you.

What to bring 💼:  Bring a pen just in case you need to write something down for someone.  Bring paper copies of your CV.  Bring your license (guard card).  Bring any other paper copies of certifications you have (Ex: permit to carry, etc)

What to wear 👔: Presentation matters.  Bring your best professional outfit.
